Ms Shikha Singh, Founder and Chairperson of the Annex Group of Institutions, created a void on 29th July 2017 by her sudden and untimely demise.
To pay homage to her, recall her unsurmountable contributions to the cause of Education, Woman Empowerment and Social Service over a period of more than 3 decades, the Annex family, Genius Kids family, her next of kin and more than 200 well-wishers organized an Event at Urbana Club on the evening of July 29, 2018.
While the occasion was graced by several Dignitaries from all walks of life, a Panel Discussion on “If a woman succeeds everyone succeeds” featured Ms Alokananda Roy noted danseuse and Social Reformer, Ms Agnimitra Paul, noted Fashion Designer, Mr Arindam Sil, noted Film Director, Mr K.J.Rao, Former Adviser Election Commission, Col S.C.Mohan former Director All India Management Association(AIMA) and Ms Debjani Mookerjee,Sr VP Urbana.Prof(Dr) D.P.Chattopadhyay, HOD HR of Globsyn Business School was the Moderator.
Shikha Singh Memorial Foundation, a philanthropic body was launched on the same day. A number of cycles were distributed to meritorious and needy students. A student was handed over a cheque for enabling him to take admission for higher studies, while two ladies from economically backward class of Society were committed employment to support their families. Commitments of further measures for Social Development were also announced.
